Some of you know that some weeks ago my wife and I were blessed with the birth of our second daughter, Caroline. Truly a blessing. She’s a wonderful addition to the family.
However, bless her heart, she does have a touch of colic and mixed with some sleep issues and a high workload, the combination has taken a beating on my health. The doctor (and my chiro) have urged me to take a break. To some who know me and my issues this is hardly a surprise. For others who don’t know, I apologize for the surprise.
The decision has been before me for many weeks and I have struggled with it. I had the talk with our VP in
I realize this will be a surprise for some – especially since I’m announcing this through my blog which may on the surface appear cold and distant for such a personal announcement. However, I know many hundreds of people and many more thousands read this blog and my articles. So, in fairness to all, I believe the best place to make the announcement is here, where all have an equal chance to see it.
I don’t know when I will return – the decision is indefinite. In the meantime I have been encouraged to pursue activities that I love and are both relaxing and non-stressful (e.g. my pastry hobby).
In the meantime, Carm and a few guest writers will continue producing articles for this blog and for www.GetStrat.com. If you have any questions or need assistance with respect to the business, please feel free to contact Carm any time (day or night). As for me, I’m off to get some rest and to be a more attentive parent J And of course, indulge in a few pastries along the way.
