Well scanning an article is easy, processing the information while not a talent is really the key to understanding it. The point of the article really couldn't be more clear: "The best way to find the best solution for your organization’s needs is through a *detailed* RFP. Get the vendors working for your business… don’t just look at the product offerings of a couple and make a decision. It might be that Sharepoint or Plumtree works for you in the end, but why not make certain. It’s just too expensive and complex a decision not to spend a few weeks gathering requirements and evaluating a few vendors accordingly." The article is about chosing or not chosing Sharepoint -- with a very strong suggestion for how to do so. I need not remind anyone that this blog and its advice is free. How you chose to interpret the information is your choice but merely reading the words is rarely sufficient for distilling the purpose.
