I often read that personalization of internet or intranet website doesn't really work. Lack of continual usage among users is provided as an evidence. This is the point where I go totally different direction. I don't think the success of personalization can be measured by the frequency of personalization features used. As I matter of fact, I belive that effective personalization only takes place once: in the begining, when you set it up. Why would you ever need to bother after, when it's giving you what you want all from the begining.
