Re: The intranet becomes a leading competitive advantage
by Anonymous
Hello Toby - I'd like to clarify one of my observations from the 2007 survey data. You quoted me as saying, "1 out of 3 of these organizations have established an official 2.0 strategy." In fact, the full statement was: "Organisations where the intranet already is or will soon become “the way of working” are more involved in 2.0 than the others. (4 out of 5 compared to 3 out of 5 in the full survey population). 1 out of 3 of these organisations are bringing the topic to the forefront, as shown by the fact that they are starting or have established an official 2.0 strategy." The use of 2.0 is growing, but the survey results did not indicate that 60% of all participants already have a formal strategy in place. The nuance is important and will be explored in the 2008 survey to see what proportion of organisations have evolved beyond "starting" to actually "doing".
