Shawn Shell summed-up MOSS quite nicely in my previous article, "SharePoint does a lot of things, but does few things very well." It's a platform, a starting point or Research paper thesis basic system for smaller businesses, or project teams -- its not good for an enterprise intranet or collaboration platform, Business research paper outside of the team sites functionality.
